Backups are encrypted. If you're signed in with the account this backup belongs to, it opens automatically — no password needed. Otherwise, enter the backup password that was chosen when this backup was exported (if one was set). The password is used only in this browser and never sent anywhere.
There’s no password reset: a password-protected backup only opens with the password it was made with — or by signing in to the account it belongs to.
Your server data and your uploaded backup (if any) are merged into one ZIP you can browse: your data as readable text, your journal photos and recordings, and the disclaimer as its own file. Everything is decrypted in this browser — nothing sensitive is uploaded.
